About Me

Hey, I’m Conor (he/him)! I was born and raised in Vancouver and started my journey at UBC studying Psychology with two career paths in mind—either becoming a Clinical Psychologist or a Marketing Strategist. After a few marketing internships, I realized I wanted to do more than just strategize; I wanted to create and innovate for real people.

That’s when I stumbled upon the Google UX Certificate. After completing the basics, I dove headfirst into UX, spending countless hours practicing in Figma while balancing school and work. Eventually, I landed a UX Research Co-op at Samsung, where I spent 12 months working with an incredible team. That experience solidified my passion for UX and set me on my current path.

Now, in my final year at UBC, I’m more involved in the UX community than ever. I’m part of UBC Launchpad, where I’m helping develop an AI-driven logbook solution for surgeons, and I collaborate with industry professionals through VanUE to bring UX events to Vancouver. Recently, I even placed second in BC’s largest design hackathon, a milestone that reminds me just how far I’ve come from my marketing days.

Excited for what’s next—let’s connect!
